Accounting: everything at a glance

Open receivables, open payables, the VAT for the current period and what was invoiced this month — on one page instead of six.

The «Buchhaltung — Übersicht» page with five key figures, two twelve-month trends and the age structures for receivables and payables.

Accounting had six lists and no overview. There is now an «Übersicht» page at the top of that area: open receivables and how much of it is overdue, open payables, what was invoiced this month and what it cost, and the VAT for the current reporting period. Every figure links straight into the list it came from.

The age structure shows how old the outstanding money is: not yet due, 1–30 days, 31–60 days, over 60 days, and without a due date. It is counted from the due date rather than the issue date, because your payment terms differ from Beleg to Beleg and the question is how long something has been late. You now see the same structure for creditors too — since it became possible to record when a supplier invoice was actually paid.

This does not replace your bookkeeping. There is no general ledger and no opening balance here; every figure comes from Belege you wrote in this app. The page is reserved for the Inhaber and the Treuhänder. The six lists below it are unchanged and remain open to everyone who used them before.
